Palmer House Stable Wedding near Iowa City

Anna and Garrett’s wedding day at the Palmer House Stable near Iowa City was truly perfect. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Anna most of my life after meeting her older sister, Audrey, in kindergarten and becoming best friends. This of course meant Anna became my friend, too, given their special bond. We spent countless birthday parties and summer nights at their parent’s house swimming in the pond, having bonfires, and of course talking about boys. Anna happened to find “her boy” in high school when she met Garrett and here they are years later getting married.

Anna and Garrett chose a beautiful venue at the Palmer House Stables where they had an outdoor ceremony with their delicious dinner inside and dancing under the outdoor tent. The forecast called for rain all day, but instead we had perfect weather with not a drop of rain until closing time. These two are thankfully foodies and we had the best cocktail hour snacks, dinner, a cake at every table, and Airliner pizza delivered during the party!

Anna’s BHLDN dress made her just the classiest bride and I couldn’t imagine a dress more perfect - she could even hold her vow book in the pockets. The flowers were grown on Anna’s family friend’s farm and she arranged them herself. It was so special to see the love surrounding them. The speeches, dances, and vibes were a testament to how loved Anna and Garrett are by all their friends and family.

The night ended with dancing, a bonfire and s’mores, corn hole, and jenga outside under the tent. If you can imagine the perfect summer wedding - this is it! I’m so honored to be a part of couples’ big days and I’d love to chat with you if you are looking for an Iowa City wedding photographer.
